Sellier & Bellot is one of the oldest ammunition manufacturers in Europe, founded on August 5, 1825, in Prague by French entrepreneur Louis Sellier. Shortly after, Jean Maria Nicolaus Bellot joined him, and the company — later named Sellier & Bellot — quickly gained recognition for producing percussion caps.

Today, the name Sellier & Bellot has been associated with advanced cartridge manufacturing technologies for over 180 years. The main production facility is located in Vlašim, Czech Republic, and since December 2023, the company has been part of Colt CZ Group.

Sellier & Bellot is among the leading ammunition producers in Europe, exporting over 70% of its products to more than 70 countries. Its annual turnover approaches 50 million USD.
