2. Back panel rigidity. Carrying electronics? Pick a semi-rigid back and reinforced base.

3. Access & admin. Frequent field work benefits from clam-shell opening and a proper admin layout; minimalists can go simpler.

4. Weight vs durability. Heavier fabrics/hardware last longer but add grams—this impacts overall comfort and pack price.

5. Integration. Ensure pouches/radio/IFAK don’t conflict with your belt or holster.
