Buck is a hallmark American knife maker (est. 1902) known for dependable folding and fixed blades for hunting, duty and field use. Manufacturing and QC are centered in the USA (Post Falls, Idaho) with strict assembly and heat-treat controls.

Engineering & steels. The proprietary Bos Heat Treat maximizes the performance of 420HC, CPM S30V, 5160 and other steels, delivering balanced hardness, toughness and edge life. Blade geometries are purpose-built for slicing, game processing, strap/webbing work and light wood tasks.

Construction & ergonomics. Secure locks (Back Lock, Liner/Frame Lock), stout pivots with bearings or washers and robust hardware ensure repeatable lock-up. Handles in G10, Micarta, aluminum and select woods provide a confident, glove-friendly grip in wet and cold conditions.
